A woman and her 3-year-old granddaughter found a burglar inside a relative's home on March 2, Salisbury Police said.
The grandmother, whom police said was from North Carolina visiting family, walked into the home in the Oak Hill Town Houses on Georgia Avenue to find the man sitting in the dark.
Police initially said the person is male but that they had not determined his identity or age.
On Tuesday, they said the person appears to be male on social media, but that they could not confirm the gender.
